Jamal Rahman

So I had a hugely busy day yesterday, but everything went really well, considering.  After a few clunky minutes at the beginning (I was a little beat, so I had a hard time getting the interview ball rolling), Jamal laid out some real gems pertaining to mental illness and spirituality as it pertains to Islam (especially Sufism), and told us about his grandfather, the rain-maker.  Really, he laid out some stuff that hasn’t been really covered yet, as far as the real nuts and bolts of mysticism, and how it relates to psychosis.  So it went from ‘did I build this up way too much, and now it’s gonna suck’, to ‘this is truly amazing’.  Thanks, Jamal.
